Why We Gather and Where We Hope to Grow

Our mission and vision express the heart of Bookton Presbyterian Church: to worship God faithfully, disciple people deeply, and serve our neighbours with the love of Christ.

A Church Called to Worship, Form, and Serve

Bookton Presbyterian Church exists to glorify God by proclaiming Jesus Christ, forming faithful disciples through Scripture and prayer, and extending compassionate care to our neighbours in Delhi, Ontario and throughout Norfolk County.

We believe the church is called not only to gather for worship, but also to become a visible expression of grace in everyday life. Our mission directs us toward reverent worship, biblical teaching, pastoral presence, and practical service rooted in love for God and love for neighbour.

Our Vision

Within the next five to ten years, we prayerfully envision Bookton Presbyterian Church as a spiritually vibrant, multigenerational congregation where children, youth, adults, and seniors are all being formed in Christ together.

We hope to deepen our local witness, strengthen family discipleship, cultivate leaders for future ministry, and grow in meaningful outreach so that more people in Delhi experience the care, truth, and hope of the gospel.

What Guides Our Ministry

Faith

We trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and seek to shape every part of church life around His truth and grace.

Scripture

The Bible is central in our worship, teaching, decision-making, and personal discipleship.

Community

We believe people grow best in a caring congregation where they are known, prayed for, and welcomed.

Service

Faith is lived out through acts of mercy, hospitality, and practical love for our neighbours.

Inclusion

We open our doors widely and make space for people to come, belong, and discover the hope of Christ.

Grace

We rely on God's mercy, extend forgiveness generously, and walk humbly with one another.

Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, but encouraging one another. Hebrews 10:24-25
